Default bumper fell off

Well it finally happened, my driver side rusted quarter panel gave way and the bumper is starting to fall off. Just looking to vent, this sucks soo bad, i guess i need a new shell.

Anybody have this happen and know an easy way to ghetto rig it back up to look o.k. ?? I was thinking about hanging it up with some wire or a coat hanger.

Heh.......ok. UMm, $400 shell, there is nothing left to the quarter panel, i just wanna make sure my bumper doesnt fall off in the road and hit another car. Rather than pay some body shop over $2000 to get me a new quarter, i wanna just find another shell.

the parts car i bought had the same problem on the passenger's side. when i was trying to remove the bumper, it just fell right off. the car had some serious rust issues.

i think getting a new shell is a good idea. the only problem is finding one that isn't rusted to ****. good luck.

that's not that bad, just reweld the bumper support on another metal plate that one welded to the frame, I don't think that the quarter panel will really hold much of the bumper on there, have it repaired in a body shop cause it look crap that way but dont get a nother shel for this.

Well when it broke, it took half of my quarter panel with it, and i dont really see any where i could weld a supporting bracket on in there....

you won't find a shell in any better shape. think about it- the only reason crxes are completely stripped is if they are making it a drag car, if it was totalled, or if it is so damn rusty, it is unusable. ever thk about getting 2 quarter panels?

YEah, two quarter panels installed w/o paint would run over $2500 at a reputable body shop. Thats not the only place i have rust.
There are clean shells to be had out there, for the right price....
