Compression suggests some internal modification?
My car has always unbelievably tore up 1g DSMs, 5.0s, LT1 fbodies and other cars that should just *MURDER* a 4g Prelude VTEC, i'm running i/h/e/untuned v-afc, light stereo, 16x7s, ACT street clutch....
after racing my buddy's 1g talon with no exhaust, small 16G @ 15psi, severely ported exs side housing/2g manifold/evo III o2 housing, act clutch, MAF translator w/ GM 3" MAS and plenty of time spent tuning with the AFC and pocketlogger (seeing relatively no knock and 15-20 counts of timing advance to redline, EGTs look good and remain under 860c to redline).... I lost by only 3 cars 60-120 vs. his car and I began just a hair under vtec in 3rd, he gained road fully boosted right away... he and everyone else has always said my car isn't right, so we decided to do a compression test, results were:
#1: 215psi
#2: 220psi
#3: 220psi
#4: 225psi
I had 3 DSM friends/victims? there for the test and as the owner of the JDM EVO 16G 92 awd moved the compression tester from cylinder to cylinder as I cranked 4-5 times dry, hot engine, WOT... he just yelled **** YOU "it's stock"... his car was beat 30-90 by 1-2 cars while he was boosting 18psi with a rewired fuel pump and really no other mods, the car never seems to fuel cut though
this is a 1993 USDM h22a1 with approx ~85k miles and 3 years of frequent trips to redline
something done to this engine before I bought it?

Not really, plenty of people have boosted on the stock motor fine....look at Firedrake!
And yeah, it comes back to the warranty claims

your missing the point, I'm talking about carbon buildup and why its bad with turbos.

Who says his motor has carbon buildup?

Who says his motor has carbon buildup?
I'm assuming he does because the extraordinary high compression test result, theres no other explanation unless honda states it low like others have said for warranty reasons.
wow, so you finally did a comp test eh?
Didn't you tell me a while ago you had a good amount of carbon/smoke coming out of your exhaust when racing?
