Default RE: DOHC head on D series block

Ok I know I am one of the guys who flamed CRX_VTEC but here it is in his defense....the post started out as someone asking about a 97 civic which we all know has a D series motor in it....so CRX_VTEC stated something about DOHC heads fitting on D series blocks and we all flamed him...well partly rightly doing so because no DOHC head will fit on the 97 D series block, but I had totally forgot until he posted about there being a D series motor that is DOHC...so it clicked the light on...there is a D series motor that is in fact DOHC, the old 86-89 Integra's the boxy ones the motor in those is the US version of the ZC and it is stamped D16A1.

But no B series DOHC head will fit on these motors like I said they are just US versions of the ZC and the LS head will not fit on a ZC therefore it will not fit on a D16A1

**MOD NOTE**
Mods this was just to clarify that a portion of what he was saying was correct if this post gets out of line feel free to lock it.

Okay... I wasnt sure which block it was since I didnt help build it. But I'm sure its a D series block and its got dual cams. Its just something my little brother threw together. I'll verify my story and provide pics if I have to in order to defend my statement. And if I am mistaken.... I'll admit to it. I've never insulted people on this board reguardless of how stupid the questions are i.e. " will my shiftnob in my civic fit my GSR?" I just answer it without calling him/her a dumbass or idiot. But I make one comment and I cant believe all the **** that was flyin at me from every direction! But no loss respect to Kiwigreenhybrid... at least he was man enough to apologize.
