Default My B16 Dyno Sheet

Got around to having my dyno sheet scanned so i'd thought i'd post it to see what everyone thinks. It looks fine to me other than the dyno guy wouldn't rev my car past the VX tach's 8k rpm limit so a few HP was lost there, no biggie since it looks to go flat after 8 anyway. No huge dip in HP on the vtec X-over but some in TQ, again it looks fine to me.

HP was 151
TQ was 105

Sorry but I couldn't get it to size correct.

your motor must be one of those "good" b16's that is really strong or something....13.9? jeez, the elevation in kentucky must be waay different from va.

Like I said before you must be able to drive like a ****. Because 151 hp isn't really that much. So your driving skills speak for themselves.

how is that? VMP is like 50-80 above sealevel.. couldnt be much better unless it was.. below sealevel somehow. I think it was just a nice motor

BTW, did you run it with strait header or with exhaust. A local guy here runs 13.90's with intake/header (no exhaust) with his cx b16 hatch

60FT was a 2.1 and the 1/8th mile was a 8.9. Since then I have got 8.7's in the 1/8th and 2.0 60ft's so there is maybe a 13.7 in it on a good day

All runs were done through a full Greddy SP at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY.

Yes, stock clutch and flywheel on that run. I just put a new oem Type R clutch kit in it a month ago though so it grabs a little better though. The only 1/4 run since then was in 100 degree heat with no traction and I ran a 14.1 with a 2.2 60ft.

I don't really have a certian launch, I just kinda blip the throttle at around 5k or so and dump the clutch, then control the wheelspin with the throttle. I always keep the revs up though cause when it bogs there is no TQ to make up for it.

Very nice numbers, although I'm a little disappointed with your midrange. It looks like you need to drop VTEC down to about 4700-4800 with that massive flat spot right there.

What program are you running?

The times are about right for the setup.. I ran 13.5 at 3000ft. With b16 pushing 162whp and 105ftlbs.. Car weighed in at 2150 with me in it.. Hope this helps for comparison.. Nice times..

5700vtec????

drop it down, notice the loss in tq right there at about 48-4900? Thats the small lobes falling off, more midrange could be made by lowering the vtec.....most the time, from the dyno charts that I've seen, and yours show my point, most stock cam'd b16as like vtec from 47-5200...

but like everyone else said, good numbers, now just add some midrange...do you have an adj'le fpr?

or if your vtec is set too low it could loose power right there, so that could also be a possibilty...the skunk proggys ive seen have vtec at either 5700 or .4800..it doesnt appear to be crossing over at 5700, but if it crossed over at 48000, you might be losing powerman you could make a good amount more of power with hondata.
