adjusting crossover on alpine 9813
i have an alpine 9813 with a 12" infinity kappa sub, with the stock speakers for the mids/highs. i am fairly new to car audio so i am unsure how to tune/adjust the crossover on my head unit. the mids/highs on the stock teg speakers are decent as long as there is no bass being pushed to them (before i got my alpine HU, on the stock integra one, if you put the bass to -5 and the treble to +5 then you could turn it up pretty damn loud and it sounded pretty good without distortion). so basically i want to adjust the crossover so that there is no bass being pushed at all to any speakers except for the sub. im not familiar with the alpine crossover, nor do i even know how to adjust a crossover period. what can i do?
I don't know how to adjust the 9813 either
After you read the manual, set up your front and rear speakers for a high pass at 80. Set the sub to low pass at 80. From there you can move the both higher or lower by ear. Set up 24 db/oct slope if possible so you don't destroy the stock speakers.
