I think that the merge collector is for people who don't run an exhaust (no flange to hook up to a cat or an exhaust). anyone confirm this?

Yeah merge is more for race. Street is the one you want. I used to have one of their headers. Acaully the very fist SS one that they have pics on their site is my old one. I never got to put it on my car, so I never got to see how it really fit or performed. To me it looks like excellent ground clearance because of the design and the performance must not be to bad since ericks racing useses it. But the one think I dont like is they dont have any dyoes of them. So your kinda left in the dark untill someon acaully does a test on it.

i posted a ? about the hp and someone replied that said dyno numbers from a customers car, so im guessing its one of the guys that works at or for an-r on this board, it was of a b16b with a buddy club exhaust and there header and a chipped p28, i think that was all it had, had like 184 hp at the wheels but i dont think ppl read the b16b part and assumed it was a b16a so i think some ppl thought it was making like 20hp, idk i still think its a bad *** header but ill have to order one to actually come to a final conclusion.
