Turbo guys with FMIC, what's your cooling set-up!
I upgraded from the Si radiator to a a dual core with the fan blowing all the time and that thing overheats 15 minutes into city cruising. I'm just curious to see what your cooling set-ups are and if you ever ran into heating problems.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm not done yet but my setup is as follows ...
* PWR Single Core Radiator (From Earl)
* Samco Radiator Hoses (Coming Soon)
I have not decided on a fan yet.

check your thermostat. Quite a few people use the dinky stock civic rad with no problems.
Hmm, so what you guys are telling me is that I'm NOT supposed to be overheating like that, even with part of the radiator covered by the FMIC..
So correct me if I'm wrong...if the thermostat has a "problem", it thinks the temperature is normal while in reality it starts getting too high and coolant doesn't flow fast enough to be cooled down by the radiator and car starts overheating?
How can I tell if that's actually the problem?

having an FMIC affects cooling to the radiator at speed, and not in the city or stop and go traffic where there is no airflow. In cases where you are overheating in the city, don't blame the FMIC, but it could be the fan, thermostat or something else.
I myself use the GSR duel core radiator, but a lot of people use the single care with zero problems.

Ok, it's dark out so I'll try that tomorrow morning. Basically if I overheat the same way without the thermostat it means it's faulty right?
Random question, how would you expect your car to run without a thermostat, overheat right?

Hey guys, do you think air in the cooling system could cause this? Because my thermostat has around 35,000 miles on it and i doubt it's broken..
