racing conditions
I don't know what brand of "racing" you're refering to, so I'll only be able to offer my experience on road courses. Namely, any components that are adversly affected by high temps (i.e., your engine, brakes, fluids, etc. ) will perform better and more consistently at lower ambient temps, but there's also a downside. In colder ambient temps, it takes longer for your tires to come up to temp (if they ever do), and therefore while your engine is working better, the periphery of the car is hindered. Anyway, it's all speculation anyway... but on average the cooler it is, the closer to sea level you are , the closer you're getting to "optimal" performance.
yeah cold weather is the best for engine performance. u have to pay more attention to traction though. if ur at a track u should be good cause there will probably be some warm rubber on the track at the starting line to give u a decent launch. if its on the street u should do a good burnout first and launch at a little lower rpm.
