Default Bottom end rebuild: bearing question

I did a search on this btw.

I am in the process of putting my b16a bottom end back together. I am using ACL bearings. The machine shop told me not to put assembly lube on the backside of the bearings otherwise I will spin a bearing. I put the bearings in with everything clean and dry, no problems there.

Now, last night I started putting the crank and rods back in. The thing is, I don't understand how to keep lube from making its way behind the bearings.

Can anyone give me some guidance on this? Doesn't oil work its way around the backside of the bearings (the side that touches the big end of the rod, not the journal) anyway?

Sorry this was so long, for such a simple question, I just wasn't sure how to ask it. Please help though, I've got the rods and main caps in and torqued down to a 1/3 as I write this.
