I doubt you will get cooler intake temps, because CF does not dissipate heat any better then an oem manifold. But the design (inside and out) is awesome, and it will save a couple pounds over probably any other manifold out there

I thought that CF doesn't retain heat (like ceramics) so it won't be as hot. Therfore it won't transfer as much heat over to the incoming air. I might be wrong though.

It's pretty sweet. Very lightweight and seems really well built. When you pick it up, it feels like a solid piece of uh... well... carbon fiber. Thanks to Arturbo and Larry who helped me with my purchase decision. Here's some pics I took of it:

How do you mount the fuel rail on it? Does it comes with some kind of adapters?

Ahh. The infamous "outflow TWM 50mm ITB" manifold. Looks like a damn fine quality piece. AIR makes some amazing products. Like to see some plots and reviews.

ya skunk2's are nice and all but im sure these are molded to make more power than a skunk2 plus this is 10lbs lighter from what AIR says. plus since it is molded im sure it makes alot of power throughout the rpm range unlike the skunk2 which makes all its power on the top end.

I'm haven't been to a dyno(yet) with my new Skunk2 intake manifold, but the power gains I feel are all the way aross the board, the first couple of days I kept spinning the tires off the line just driving around town.. But that maybe cause I upgraded for a GSR dual plain intake manifold..

The finnish looks awesome from the outside. Wish they would have turn it inside out, that would have been nicer. But then again, people would rather prefer the look.

Looks good, but wouldn't loosing 10 more lbs off the front end hurt your 60ft times?

Find another way to get traction, dont use more weight to do it just learn how to keep the weight from transfering to the rear.

that's what i thought too. i can always touch my friend's cf exhaust on his bike (yoshimura exhaust on a gixxer) after he rides it

Yeah so can I.....and then go to the hostpital for 3rd degree burns. Go beat the **** out of a bike with a carbon exhaust then come back and put your hand on the exhaust. It WILL burn you. Better yet go ride with your friend and rest your leg on the can. Don't worry you'll be fine...

Carbonfiber does retain heat and it does get hot.

Also light weight will help your 60' times. That's why lightweight hatchs can pull sick 60' with not a lot of TQ.

well i guess i can give a little bit of info on this. weve only made 6 passes with the new manifold and its already performing the same as itb's. give me a few more passes and it will definetly out perform itbs.
and as far as the heat issue, since my car isnt a street car i cant really say much but with the motor at 200 degrees, you can just touch the manifold. it stays close to the air temp. i could not do this with the old itbs.
