My track times, b16 crx
So i ran about 12 times last night at Scribner NE.
set up
b16a
hasport mounts
2 1/2 exhaust no cat
msd wires, msd igntion
centerforce dual friction clutch
ebay intake
falken ziex tires 205/15/50 on rota circuit 8's aprox 25 psi
91 crx si, full interior
running approx 17 degrees on 91 pump.
best time was a 15.017 at 90.42 mph
r/t was a .651 60 ft times were 2.344
the temp at the track was approx 81 degrees
what i was curious about is my best tiem was at a low trap speed, i managed a 92-93 all night but my best run was at 90 mph. for example .278 r/t, 2.343 60' foot, 1/4 in 15.048 at 92.92. wonder if i can hit 14s? im damn close.

Most of the time if you hook up good your time will be better but your mph will be lower. Some drag radials should get you into the 14's and they are still street tires.

Guessing his were 9.7's or so for a 15.0 run.

yea I ran at the Moroso track here in south florida on friday night and i'm kinda curious on some stuff too. my first time at the track my best out of 2 runs that I got was 15.386@90.13mph w/2.32 60ft. and then I just went on friday after getting my distributor changed (all brand new) because it totally froze up. before this friday I also got my valves adjusted and my radiator fan working. so my first pass on friday was 15.364@92.28mph w/2.519 60ft. and a best of the night being a 15.296@92.7 w/2.495 60ft. my setup is a 91 crx si w/b16a1 with a cheap *** ram air and a rusty filter (yes the filter does have rust on it) and 2.25 exhaust to a apexi n1 n/a muffler w/ 1 resonator. (sounds awesome if i may add) also i have full interior with momo full race seats in place of the stock seats and running crx si stockies street tire style. I'm just wondering if what's holding me from being in the 14's is my air filter and to get my 60ft's down to a 2.3 or a 2.2? pass me some of your thaughts. Thanks -Jason
it must be either the beat down engine or the 3000 foot elevation from sea level
leave it to to people like you to talk ****. and its 15.01 moron. but reading would be too difficult for you wouldnt it? and im sorry i screwed up on the wiring, i should call hasport and tell them the wire conversion they do is screwed up. geez your smart mythos.

a 15 flat @ 3000ft above sealevel is a good time. i ran a 14.9 @ a track here in southern cali that is about 3000ft above sea level as well...i then took the car to a better, lower elevation track and ran a 14.3.

Just work on your launches, try to drop your 60ft time to like 1.7. Plus slicks should do the trick. It was a hot day, so it might have slightly affected your car. Try to run on a cold day...might make like .1 sec difference..

Yeah take some time and learn how to launch your car better, if you can start it rolling better everything else falls into place!

Doubt practice will yield 1.7 reaction times, in my CRX with the same tires same psi I'm running 2.20 every time at 25psi, thats all you need for a 14.9. Learn to launch better and don't just dump the clutch and let em eat.
