Hydrolocked yesterday. Life sucks.
Getting water out, changing oil, changing plugs and then praying everything is ok. Coolant and oil is still full so I don't think the block cracked at all. Anyone have any suggestions?
Well, I got it running. I let it idle until it got to running temp (10 minutes rougly) then cut it off. So far so good, who knows what kind of damage is done though. Compression test comes tomorrow.
Well, took it for the first ride today. Drove it about a 1/2 mile to 7-11 on back roads staying between 2k-2.5k and then I took the main road on the home staying between 2.5k-3.5k. Ran with no problems but I still have yet to do a compression check to see what kind of condition it is really in.

Well, I was just stupid to attempt to drive through it. I had a feeling it was going to happen and I still risked it.
to me.
The motor was only idling when it happened so it just turned off and I was like "FUCKKKK". This dude behind me hops out and helps me push it into a parking lot where I parked it and I walked home (this happend about 2 blocks from my house). Came back later and called a tow truck and got it home. Cranked the water out, changed plugs and oil and started it up and let it run for about 20 minutes. No weird noises or anything and it idles at a solid 750 or so. I think I got very lucky but I have yet to do a compression test.

As soon as I get around to it.
Make offers on the bumper and corners

Both? I only have the rear bumper. It has a minor scratch on one side about 1" long. Shipping is probably going to be a grip to TX so I gotta check on that before we finalize any $.
It was in a flash flood kind of situation. I had no idea that the section of road I was going into was flooded. I had pretty much no where to turn off to so I just risked it and went through. It was just high enough to cover my CAI filter completely I think when a wake hit the car. I got out right after it happened and looked at my filter and it had a good 2"-3" or so of air clearance.
Do a compression test. If one cylinder is low, you probably bent a rod (the engine can still run pretty good with a bent rod ). The problem with a bent rod is it will flex with each revolution of the engine and it will eventually break.
