my 90 hatch is a DX. i had another hatch that was a 91 SI. i took it to the yard and before i did i stripped it and took out the wiring harness. so my question is, will the SI engine harness plug into the DX car harness and still have all the right same pins? i know i need to run the extra 5 wires for the VTEC, knock, oil pressure switch, ground, secondary o2 sensor. i tried a search but couldnt find this topic

 

no. to use the si harness you have to change the underdash harness aswell. It's not difficult to modify the DX harness. just read a couple of the websites that tell you how to do it. I actually used the sport compact car mag. that had an article about it.

but i ran into a problem with the DX harness. i'm using this site http://www.angelfire.com/d20/h....html to do the wiring to convert DPFI to MPFI first. well it says that pins B10 and B12 should be empty. well my B12 pin has a green/black wire in it. what can i do with this? is the site wrong? do i just need to get rid of the green/black wire?

 

Dont' worry about that wire, It's there in some and not in others and does nothing.
