Rice on C5 convertible

While i was looking through Magnaflows customer cars I noticed this Corvette with a horrible mod.

well it DOES have a top speed somewhere north of 170mph I think... however I wouldn't trust a wing like that bolted to fibereglass.

ok, first off... im getting sick and tired of this "rice" this "rice" that ****... and if your not asian, you shouldnt say it cause its racist and its done with... your NOT COOL if you can comment and pick out which parts on the car is "rice" ...

yea, you may have your opinions on such mods on certain cars, but who's the owner of the car? if its not you then who cares? sure everyone is entitled to their opinions, but please stop this is this rice or not ****... welcome to 5 years ago

Hey.. Maybe he has the Linguinfelter(sp) TT engine build? That would mean he can go 0 - 180 faster than you can go 0 - 60 in your civic.. Maybe he needs that wing.. Ever think of that?

If he needs that wing, and he's got a Lingenfelter engine, he can have it custom made for his car. All this guy did is buy an APC universal wing and stuck it on his car.

i remember hearing in a Car and Driver a while back where they tested a modded c5 that it was stable up till just shy of 200mph with the stock aerodynamics. I somehow doubt that car is going to break the 200mph mark.

yea he ruined a perfectly good vette. And I doubt anyone who would buy a Lingenfelter Vette' would also buy a wing like that for it.

exactly, i dont know where people have gotten the misconception that a wing is only functional on a rwd. i'm not saying i like wings on 100hp grocery getters, but wing is only functional at high speeds where traction issues that arise from engine power are no longer an issue, it's to keep the rear planted at high speeds which is a good thing for any car with any kind of drive configuration taking a sweeping turn at high speeds.

this is like saying front splitters arent functional on a rwd.

in any case, that wing looks like ****.
