Type S guys.. need your help
my gf is about to purchase a car soon. we are really looking into the rsx type s but we need some help with info. i was wondering what you guys paid for your cars, what the dealership offered you and what was the total price in all after tax n stuff. the difference between the base model and type s really seems big to me seeing how its only a few thousand apart and you get 200hp vs 160hp. if i could get some guys who work for acura like acuraautomotiveparts? to chime in and give us an idea how low dealership is willing to go. ANY info with purchasing a car would help also.
thanks in advance guys

I just got mine for 22200 before tax and tags. Good idea would be to go to http://www.edmunds.com/new/200...cura* And do the steps to get the free quotes from dealers around you.
We did this for my friends Mazdaspeed protege and within 2 days 2 of the dealers had called. You'll probably get more of a response since the Type S is more available too.

I really believe that she would prefer an automatic. Sure, she could learn stick, but I wouldn't want to do that to a new car. Test drive both the base and S before you go any further. The S has a harsher ride that she may not like.
As much as you'd like the S, it sounds like it's going to be HER car. It better be one she likes and chooses, not the one she got talked into. Otherwise you will never hear the end of it.
Go to clubrsx.com. There is a topic in the Dealer Experiences thread where people state what they paid. BTW, tax, title and license fees vary greatly depending where you live but they are fixed percentages and fees. That makes them easy to calculate and add to the negotiated price of the car. I paid $21,800 for my S in May.

thanks for all the replies guys. hopefully the 04's coming in will help her buy it at or lower than invoice price. no automatic or base model for her. to me its just not worth it at all to get the base for 19 when type s is only a few grand away.
