I use to have a N1 and switch over to a ES oval muffler (painted black) with custom 2.25 inch piping (axel back - kept the rest of the N1 piping)
The N1 IMO is too loud for daily driving without the silencer and attracted way too much attention (cops and others) Also the thing sits too low if the car is lowered so it scraps on dips or bumps that you dont pay attention too.

if i could afford it, i'd rock these (in order of preferance):
1. GReddy SP (evo is too loud)
2. RS*R EX mag
3. Apex'i WS
4. DC non tcs
catback with n1 style cans are just too loud. i drive alot, and i was really afraid of loosing my hearing. i had a n1 muffler with 2.25" and no resonator. you could hear me from 3 blocks away. n1 cans are getting played out anyway

Is The ES Oval Loud with 2 1/4inch piping?......because i have a Stock OEM RSX Type-S muffler on my 93 ex coupe right now with 2 1/4 piping..and its gettin pretty old, i think its time for a new exhaust set-up. Oh Ya and for your hatch id ditch the DC Sports idea......and go with a Greddy EVO or a RS*R Mag
