Taking the car to trak tomorrow need some advice please??
i'm takin my 1998 honda accord 2.3 vetec 4Dr to a race trak tomorrow the car is bone stock it just has a K&N drop in filter is this a good idea or you wouldn't take this car to a trak (i'm not going to race any one unless if it's a regular stock 1.6 civic NO=SI but i'm just testin it out .....
i wouldnt suggest taking it out to the track with a filter being the only aftermarket piece on it, but it might not be a bad idea to see how it does stock, then to add parts etc...then log your times and see the difference each particular part can make for your vehicle, oh, and if you keep a log, write down the weather outside, humid etc...and write down how much gas you have to make up for weight to power etc...!
if you're going for your own enjoyment, then why not? if you're going out there to win races, just stay home

hahahaha, AAA, hahahah, ****, if you blow up a stock motor with an aftermarket intake, man, *** callin triple A, call animal cruelty...
actually it's best to not modify stuffs like suspension and engine on your first autox or track. Especially the suspension, you gonna see/feel the weakness of it and you can improve it(buy parts that you feel missing) on your next autoX.
it's not like you will win the event the first time you at it, just enjoy it.
