I just recently completed my ITA CRX,and soon H4 race car. Need to drop the gearing for most the tracks in my area. Can anyone get me up to speed on a good simple change, products sold, etc. to change final drive D16A6
Looking to try and get the use of more then just 3rd and 4th.

Plus at 6500 Elevation this should be a great mod, 10%less HP hurts

 

well the FD from the Z6 its already a 4.25

if u want a very more fast aceleration.... i say get one like the ITR.. find a 4.75 FD , but along with that u need a new countershaft... and i dunno who has a type of gears that way for our old trannies....

 

alright...are you getting the Z6 of the tran itself or off the front identification, you know what the FD is on D16A6.
ITR? What countershafts are guys using for a pretty much full race...unfortunately i can't mess with the gears, If I do change gears they would have to be out of an '88-'91.

Talk to Wil at exospeed.com I know he sells FD's for our trannies, but not sure if it's the gearing you're looking for.

 

Thanks buddy. I'll hit him up. At this point I haven't been to a track were i touch 5th, so i know I'am cutting my legs out with out this somewhat simple and low cost mod to gain tenths to seconds(so I've been told and could also understand)
