I get a call from Beth, the Ramada Inn worker.
"Is this Mr Putman?"
"Yes, this is Mr. PITTMAN."
"Sir, I was just wonderin' why you didn't show up on the 14th"
"Uh, sorry, what was that again?"
"Your party didn't show up. You had 6 rooms."
"Well, I didnt think we needed to check in a month early? Dont you have us down for SEPTEMBER 14-16th?"
"Whoever I talked to said August...."
"No, you are mistaken. Are you sure when you wrote it down that didnt write 8/14 instead of 9/14?"
"Well, maybe I did. My manager charged you for one night in the rooms already..."
"And he can uncharge us, then. Can you VERIFY that we HAVE ROOMS for the 14TH THROUGH THE 16TH of S-E-P-T-E-M-B-E-R?"
"Uh, yes, we still have you down for 6, and you have 2 and 3 others have called to take those, but the 6th one is still under your name.."
"Well, just hold that one until we let you know otherwise."
"Yessir, I just had a call from some 'Williams" place and they booked 30 rooms..."
"Ok, well thanks for straightening out the confusion. Goodbye."

SO, my advice, call and CONFIRM again your reservation just to be safe 770 474 1700. Also, there is still one unclaimed room...CHRIS BLAKE??? You going bud? I will continue to hold the room, as who knows, the Swedish bikini team might need...see...those bad thoughts are already...no...stop...not..going..to....

 

Just spoke to Beth (not my Beth - the hotel's Beth). I still have a room.

I'll be sooo happy when we get there and get checked in. That's the only way I'll know I have a room

Yep, I only have two 8 meg sticks for my Cybershot. I'm thinking about buying a 64 meg. I'm pretty sure that will be enough.

May want to investigate some lawyers for the NOPI aftermath concerning the divorce I think I'll be in the clear...for obvious reasons

 

You bought the starter kit with yours? Cool... I would buy that if it came with a bigger card. Will probably just buy the case and pick up a 64 meg card - they can be found for about $57 online...

Oh, and that means you'll have a spare battery too! *nudge, nudge*
