Where can I get a JDM EF9 center console complete?

 

why it wont fit your car......its different than the LHD

 

try eBay..the civic consoles are fine...its the cr-x that's rhd and slants the opposite direction.

WRONG!

The jdm console is the one that goes from the shifter(doesnt include the shift boot) up to the climate controls/radio and has a pocket between the radio and shift boot...

the console does slightly angle to the drivers side....I have personal experience with this so dont argue with me!

you didnt have the JDM one then...you had the OEM optional one

I just bought a true EF9 center console piece complete with the part that surrounds the audio/climate control and the piece just below it that connects it all together. I think it looks way better than the honda optional equip. one but like someone else said the damn thing doesnt fit. It fits my USDM audio/climate control surrounding piece but where it connects to the floor console its off by about an inch or so. Its offset for the RHD EF's. But if anyone still wants it, let me know cuz i still have it...

the jdm ef9 center consule thing wont work on the LHD cars because it does slant a little to the driver side on a RHD car.. ive seen it with my own eyes. You can get the USDM OEM consule that was an option over here, but they are pretty hard to find.

yup, that is correct
I have the optional OEM one in my hatch, it came with the car when I bought it.

or you can get EDM ones. that are RHD. They work just fine too.

 

thats one above is a option from honda in canada. the one you want looks simular to a CRX one . theres a large pocket with the lighter and ashtray are somewhat in the same spot a on stock.

am i wring?

Ok, look at the bend for the ones mounted in the left hand drive cars (LHD if you haven't figured that out yet). The bend goes toward the driver.

For a JDM car the driver sits on the right side of the car, thus RHD. The bend therfore goes in the opposite direction.

The bend is VERY significant because the lower portion is offset to the left or right depending on if it's for RHD or LHD. They are NOT interchangable because of this. You will get massive interference with the shifter console if you try to bolt it in. There is no way to moddify it to fit other than installing a complete RHD dashboard.

Go ahead - be stupid.... buy that JDM optional console that bends to the right. Try to install it in your LHD car. Just remember - I TOLD YOU SO!!! ssssuuuuuccckkker!

 

Okay does anyone have the Canadian OEM one for sale or know anywhere i can get one?

Talk to a Honda dealership in Canada. It's off the 90-91 Special Edition HB, and I picked mine up for (BRAND NEW!) $56.50 Canadian. Usually the only one you can get is Palmy Blue, but you can have them color matched.

 

Would you happen to have the phone number to that dealer and also the part number for the console?
