ones jdm and one isnt, everyone knows that 
either one is fine. you cant say that es flows better. they are both straight through, and will both sound like *** unless you have a large resonator.

actually its the other way around. I like my old magnaflow one better. I am thinking of actually swtiching back. both are straight through 2.5(well the ones I have) but if you think about it, the oval is only packed with material on the sides. My Magnaflow was a round 6 inch stainless steel which is evenly packed inside. The outlet is centered, not offset. also the quality of the es muffler is kind of shady. I have seen some that weren't symetrical but that could be due to shipping or the way they were stored in the stock room or whatever.
the es oval is good though. I like it for its rolled edges which magnaflow doesn't have. the super turbo/dynamax muffs are a smaller oval and it looks cheaper on a car imo. It is a great muffler if you want to tuck it under the bumper and have a turn down welded on to it.

We sell the magnaflow one's available in both aluminized so you can paint them black and Stainless steell for tha tbling bling look

i have magnaflow 3" straight from downpipe to muffler, and it definitely dont sound like ***, i have no cats, reso's nada.. have u ever owned either?

I ran a 2.25" ES with a test pipe and one small resonator for a long time and it was never too loud... Always thought it was relatively quiet...
-side note - I had a resonator welded in place of my cat
