'00 PY ITR for sale... convince dad to get it?
There's an '00 PY ITR around here with about 44K miles. Very clean car. Mom/Dad is in the market for a new car. Should I try to convince them to get this? I almost convinced them to get an RSX-S, but since they're trading in a '94 Corvette, dad said he didn't want to go from a car with "power" to a car with "implied power." Would driving an ITR be enough to convince him otherwise? Cuz that'd be a great match/replacement for my GS-R

If your dad is able to handle the discomfort and theft issues with the car, I don't see why not.
The biggest issues with my dad when he first got it were:
1) theres no sunroof
2) there's no leather seats but these suede ones are sporty
3) the suspension is stiff
4) it is loud on the inside
5) I get too much attention with it
6) people want to race me all the time

I have a red GS-R with exhaust that he's been driving since I left for college. He's used to the noise and seats, cuz mine is cloth. And my area isn't one known for auto theft. But if it did get stolen, it wouldn't be at my house. We have a gated house, and it's parked in a garage. Around here, fake ITR lookalikes are so common, people wouldn't even notice.
meh...as cool as it would be to have, it's not really an older guy's car, unless of course it's George or Ed or someone.
Tell him to get a 911 or M3 instead.

He's trying to find a 3rd gen RX7 with rebuilt engine/tranny. But the only place with those around here (biggest 3rd gen dealer in the US) doesn't finance
BTW... the ITR is $16K

Well yes, but he's also a Honda buff. He's had an 84 Accord, '87 Accord LXi hatch, mom's had a brand new '91 Legend, I have the GS-R, and my sister has a 3.2TL. We're kind of a Honda family. We'll see. I'm gonna go drive it this weekend, hopefully.

Even better for a G35 coupe. There is so many on the road in Northeast that I think they out sold Corollas!
