Exedy Clutch/flywheel
Does any have/have had/knows anything about these clutches and flywheels? I thinking about getting one and wanted to check to see what kinda experience anyone has had with them. Any advice would be great..
I got the Excedy sports clutch in my 99DX hatchback and they're super nice. Not a lot stiffer than stock but grips a lot better. Didn't get the flywheel though coz I don't think there is one for EK3 anyway. But I heard they're nice on B16A and B18C since they're not too light. The weight is as good as the CUSCO flywheel(in the 5.x kg range i believe). So I will take which ever is cheaper I think.
Thanks man.. You are the first person to answer this question and I have it posted on several different sites.. Group Buy has this clutch and flywheel package on sale for $735 for both and I was thinking about getting it cause it doesnt seem like that bad of a price.. The flywheel is 9 (4.1 Kgs I think) pounds. Which shouldnt be to bad.. Im going to have to see how my funds are going over the next couple weeks and maybe pick it up.. Thanks man.

I have the Exedy 3 puck cerametalic clutch (and Exedy pressure plate)in my GSR/ITR powered del Slow. And I love it. I have a Fidanza 8 lb flywheel to compliment the packed and it works great. I will never go back to an ACT i have had 2 Street strip discs and the Extreme pressure plate. I was happy with them but not near as happy as i am with my Exedy. Has a nice pedle feel and grabs exactly the way i like a good racing clutch to grab. I bought the clutch from *** Imports and bought the Flywheel from Motorvations Motorsports in Birmingham.
Hope this helps. If you need any more info feel free to email me.
