I need help with choosing wheel offset.
I did a search, but I'm still not sure. I'm thinking about getting a 15x7 wheel. The available offsets are +39 and +45. Which of these will fit the R better? I'm guessing the 39, but I'm not sure. What do you think? Much thanks.
While both should work, I would lean toward the 39mm. Volk, for example in their 15x7 TE uses a 43mm, while Spoon in their 15x6.5 uses a 45mm as well as their 16x7. A 39mm will definitely not rub on the inside and will improve the stance a bit, too. Out of curiousity, what rims?
If you call Tire Rack, they'll tell you exactly what the offset is for the R. I am also trying to get 15" SSR Cometition wheels for mine, 15x7.5. They'll fit without any offset modifications, and will allow me to run a slightly wider 205 width tire.
i'm running 16x7.5" rims now, with a 43mm offset. IMO, i wouldn't go any farther out when running a 7.5" wide rim, as mine, when not lowered more than 3/4", the car looks like a 4x4.
it's lowered about 1.25" now, and looks much better, IMO.
