Default ECU help

I want to upgrade my ECU setup and since I've got an OBD2, which is difficult to find a chip for I'm told, I was thinking of getting an OBD1 ECU and getting that chipped. Are there better or worse OBD1 ECU's to chip or are they all the same?
(I've got a 99 LS by the way)
Also, how much does an OBD2 to OBD1 harness go for anyway?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx
Alex

its not hard to mod OBDII to expensive and there isn't much avalibility of programs as well actual hardware need to do it. especially for OBDII non-vtec motors.
there are many different kinds of programs for different non-vtec ecus, some are better other are worse. what can you run: P75, OBDI PR4, P06 as far as ECUs.

ECUs prices will depend on what you want. check my sig.
harness converters are $125-175, depends who you go through.
