No point in upgrading the header to 2.5 inch if you are just going to choke it with the stock exhaust.

Don't mind that fantastic pic above. IMO do it right, or don't do it at all.

stock exhaust is sufficient for hp he's going to make.. as far as combination.. yeah.. it will bolt together
