Default Spoon N1 exhaust?

i originally posted this in the tech forum, but was told i'd get more responses in here...

what does everyone think of this exhaust... i mean like all pros and cons, hp gains/losses across the powerband, noise, looks, whatever. my engine is outgrowing (with help from toda ) my current exhaust (2.25 catback w/ damn near stock replacement muffler... sounds good (read: quiet) but i think i'm choking the motor) also, the spoon b-pipe? where can i pick one of those up?

this exhaust sounds awesome....I love mine....you won't get much gains without a high flow cat and b-pipe.......quality and fitment is top notch

well, i'd be test-piping it, and was planning on the b-pipe too since the one thats on there now is welded to the muffler...

Loud. Sounds nice under WOT, but is LOUD.

Fitment I've noticed is good.

T1R b-pipe bolts up.

it obviously gives you a sleeper-look = less attention from cop =

I don't know about with the silcener on but test pipe + no silencer = loud. a friend of mine has TP + Spoon N1 cat back (forgot what b-pipe) and it's much much louder than my setup stock cat + Apexi N1 cat back.

IMO, the tip of Spoon N1 reminds me of:

The spoon b-pipe and N1 would give good gains, but would be very loud. Very low key look to the muffler too. You can pick them up at rather http://www.ipsracing.com or http://www.aj-racing.com . Ive bought from both sites and they are great to deal with.

Actually the Tip is Almost Identical to the ones found on most Jaguars in the 80's and 90's, roughly the same size and rolled tip.

I don't see how the choice could be so bad. If you don't want something loud then the spoon is not a choice for you obviously.

I love mine in conjunction with a modified stock B pipe, SMSP Cat, and Type One header. I don't think it's too loud and am in love with the way it sounds.

Spoon Sport Silencer would be a good choice...

I "heard" the buddyclub is louder.

I love the look of the N1, not because it looks great but because it dosn't draw any attention to the muffler at all. Thats my philosophy with exterior car components, wheels/exhausts/etc that dosn't attract people to look at those things.. but just at the overall car in general. With the N1.. people won't look as much at your muffler, but rather your whole car in general. Which is what i like so much about my N1

As far as noise, i could'nt bare with it without the silencer until just recently.. i gulped and pulled it off and now i'm just barely living with it okay. Getting kinda used to it now..

I only have the axleback, header+cat is coming in a week...

Do a search I was just reading in a RECENT post by someone who JUST purchased a Spoon N1 and B pipe. He said it was LOUD!!!!

I am wondering if you add a Custom Resonator will this help with the loudness

when you say the N1 is loud, do you mean DEEEEEP loud, or high pitch loud. Also whats the difference between the spoon b pipe and t1r b pipe as far as performance or fitment. what recommended cat?

I had T1R test pipe+T1R b-pipe + Spoon N1. It was just way too loud for me so that i had to replace it with my mugen twin loop.

but i really loved my N1 tho.

Now i like my T1R test pipe+T1R b-pipe + mugen twin loop = quiet but still got enought flow.

Doesnt the T1R b pipe have a bottleneck?

Can the spoon pipe / N1 setup work on an EM1?

Is it worth the bottleneck for easier fitment with the T1R?

after liking the spoon it looks a bit inproportional to the car (way to dinky)

If it was fujitsubo size then
