Default ZAINO!!

Well, take a look and tell me if Zaino is worth it or not

Well, my Mom's bday was this past weekend. As a birthday gift to her, I decided to clean her abused '99 Acura TL. The car has NEVER been waxed since purchased, washed maybe once every 2 months, been in several minor accidents, and has scratches all over. To top it off, it is black meaning that swirl city showed all over the place.

I armed myself with some clay,Zaino Z1, Z2, and Z5 and went to work. I think the results speak for themselves! Of course, things never look as good in these digital pics as they do in real life but...wow...check it out at: http://www.geocities.com/yell00itr/TL3

You can also check out pics of other cars I have detailed at http://www.geocities.com/yell00itr -- all with Zaino except for some of the pictures of the older TL and the GS300 (I didnt detail those..just posted for a friend).

As a Zaino Man and a detail freak, I have give a on the others cars you detailed. Zaino is excellent if the suface is in good condition.

The swirl marks on your mom's TL is big time damage. Yes, it shines, and etc. But as a detail freak, the swirls got to come off, other wise your not letting the true potential shinning through.

Z5 fills in swirl marks. Zaino school of thought said to keep using it until you fill it in. But I like the old school thinking of trying to remove it. I heard many Zaino people who used swirl removers from 3M with good result. Try to remove it before you layon the Zaino. Your mom's car can look wonders.

You are right! That car needs some abrasives to get back to showroom condition. I simply did not have the time to do it. In a few months, I will start all over, this time with my PC 7424 and some 3M Finesse it to start.

The Zaino is doing a tremendous job of HIDING all the swirls right now. I do not plan on layering any more Zaino on for another 3 months or so, when I will redetail the car the right way.

Thanks for the comments!

I too have used Zanio and got great results. I did my old man's Vehi-X(black) for him and it was an amazing turn around. It would have taking me hours to get the same results with a buffer and even though the swirls will come back eventually with the zaino I would recommend the products to anyone.

In fact tonight after work I and hitting the R with some Clay Magic and Zaino to bring her back to her beatiful show room condition.

Zainobros.com

Unfortunately, Zaino is not located at your local retailer. Either buy it direct or look at that page to find a local distributor. Good luck.

I don't even think you can find it from a local distributor, correct me if I'm wrong. I was under the impression you could only buy it from the website.

I just waxed my car with Zaino last night (it had been over 8 months since the last waxing and finally the car was starting to lose some shine)....How many coats did you use? I usually use two....I end up getting tired of reapplying coats then rubbing them off over and over..

Are you serious about buying it at Costco or joking? I assume joking.

In any case, yes, there are plenty of distributors out there. Go to Google.com and type in Zaino distributor and your state abbreviation. You will probably find one. But, I just go ahead and order from Sal. It is no big deal to me.

As far as amount of coats. Zaino is not a wax. Apply one coat of the Z5 or Z2. Then walk away. A day or even better, a week later, wash the car thoroughly and apply another coat of either Z5 or Z2. You can keep layering with Zaino, unlike a wax which does not layer. Just give it at least a day cure time before putting on another coat.

And, FYI, one coat is all you need to fight the elements for 4-6 months and have a very shiny finish! If you want to deepen the finish, then keep layering every time you wash the car.
