Default type s cams help

Hi guys
I'm buying jdm type s cams from a guy on ebay. he says he took it off a jdm prelude but it sound he's not 100% certain that they're type s jdm cams. is there any way to tell that the cams are jdm type s? I requested a high res picture of them.
thanks in advance..

There is no way to tell from that angle. If there was a profile picture where I could see the ramp up for the VTEC lobe I could probably tell you if they were from a Type S.

the h22a type s head also had a different valve seat angle, and i've heard stories of accelerated wear because they used type s cams in a normal h22a head....the type s head flows better too, different manifold, tb, intake....you won't get the full benefit of type s cams when compared to the type s head....it would be better to go with some specifically designed cams, like something by skunk2.....so if you can get your money back, especially if they might not even be type s cams, then do it.....

thanks for the reply guys
the guy did some measurements so here they are.
He measured circumference of the big lobe which is 4.550in and the big lobe is 1.660 tall. is that any help at all?
i'm going to try to get a profile shot of the cams. I asked for more pix but he hasnt sent them to me yet.

i havent paid for the cams yet but this is quite a good deal if they are in fact type s cams, so i dont wanna pass it on. any other set of cams will cost me upwards of 500USD. that's why i'm fighting to figure out whether these are type s cams.
thanks again for your help
