Default Ashamed at the quality of discussions on this thread!!

I actually find myself having to go to the teg threads to actually read posts that have pertinent content regarding engine & suspension performance upgrading. I am actually starting to regret ever buying this car simply based on this resource forum. I starting to believe that Accord owners for the most part just want to talk a good game rather than get their hands dirty under the hood. That leaves me pretty much out there by myself. I learned more stuff about Hondas in 4 hours of conversation with 3 teg owners than I have on this Accord thread in the past month. Hopefully, this commentary will inspire more to view the teg and ITR threads and see how a real resource forum is conducted and bring that back to the Accord forum. If it doesn't, then I did my part to motivate my peers and I'll start looking for teg to buy.

What can I say???? I am a hard core motor head myself. I do almost all of my own work on my accord. Yes, the accord is not the fastest Honda, and a lot of people are all show. So what!!! That makes us different. in the end, the extra work finding info is worth it. Not to sound cocky, but I know quite a bit about 6th gens specifically, and all cars in general, so ask, If I can help, I will.

If you don't already, get the helm manual for your car. It has helped me immensely. I know it's kinda expensive, but worth every penny IMHO

you may also want to check out http://www.hondasociety.com/board for another really good board. The "blue lightbulb" questions don't show up as often as on some of the other boards, and the accord people are generally pretty knowedgeable too.

I have been road racing and autoxing my car for almost 2yrs now. It may not be the fastest, but trust me, i surpise A LOT of people w/ my car. I have installed all of my mods though. I am also VERY familier w/ all Hondas. I don't post/reply much in this forum though, because i haven't done anything to my car lately (no $$) and i haven't seen any posts that i need to reply too, or want to reply too.

If you do have any questions, you can email me, IM me on AIM or here, or post on here.

Ive been reading this board for a while now i do try not to make my post so.... stupid
anyhow i think i have one or two that are kind of... stupid but i just recently bought my accord
in fact it was exactly 3days ago.. im only 17 and i just cant wait to start moding this thing out
basically right now im dealing with the cost of tags insurance 1st payment taxes and all that
getting a better feel for the car and learning the 5-spd tranny almost there but when im riding every
gear all the way i scratch in second and im really not trying to.

- I was thinking of opening up the exhuast air ways first.. Headers Cat Exhuast
I thought it might be a better i idea for air to be able to flow out better
before it can flow in better and still stock exhuast. I did add a K&N filter
for the stock airbox. Whats everyone think? Pointers?

Planning is the key to any project especially with your car. Decide what you want your end product to be. For instance don't buy a cold air intake and header if you plan on getting a turbo in the future b/c the header and intake pipe won't be used when you have a turbo. I've had my Accord for 4 years now, 97 SE, and I started on the areas i felt needed the most work first, slowly adding parts as cash comes in.

Accords are pretty awesome, underrated platforms. But, yes, most Accord drivers suck. And so does this forum mostly. There are a lot of cool people at Honda-Tech though.

You have to have your pics up on the net already (like your ISP should have given you a bit of FTP space). Once your pic is up on the net, just type the link to it between the [IMG] things. (I think that's how it works...)

Thanks H22...by the way I just got my Valve Cover back. I had it powder coated translucent red after it eas polished. It looks really sweet. My Dad must really love me and my brothers for giving me all this help. Now I can post some pictures of me and my car.
