What does an ignition coil do?
Just curious, because I'm running out of trouble shooting ideas for my car.. .checked the dizzy and timing belt, timing belt is fine - dizzy I am still unsure of

thru induction it creates high voltage
juice goes into the coil, the primary coil section then gets energized (the coil section is made up of copper) when the primary coil gets shut off, this shut off i belive called dwell time saturates the secondary coil section, the secondary coil gets energized alot more than the primary, when the secondary shuts off it then carrys it to the rest of the ignition system wires/plugs...
sorry if maybe some of it is wrong, but i belive that is the theory been awhile since i graduated from school
any corrections ppl can make to my statement feel free to

im still trying to get my damn smog license, i fialed the test twice by 6 points its a tricky test
i wish i was smogging cars they make pretty decent money
