Hey, i was wondering if this sounds like a good idea. I was planning on buying the Weapon R Dragon intake and making a custom heat sheild so that it can still take it colder air. Then I was just planning on possibly buying a K&N Filer just incase the foam one with the dragon doesn't hold up. what ya think? I can do it for like 150 bucks total.

or you could just do a drop in K&N air filter?

 

I heard of a guy with the Weapon R foam filter that had some problems with it.Apparently the foam started to fall apart and actually got sucked into his engine,'nuff said.If you are limited for cash just do the K&N drop-in filter as mentioned above.I've actually just sold my HKS foam filter and have reverted back to facory airbox and am going to do the drop-in deal.
