Default 90 civic dx, ZC motor swap...wiring questions.

i did a seach... i didn't really find what i was looking for SO im writting this post.

my buddy bought a 90 civic DX hatch. he has a ZC motor in his 89 crx si. my question is would we be able to take out the crx si wiring harness and complete the swap by replacing the whole wiring harness in the civic instead of doing the wiring on the dx harness.

im thinking that i may have some issues with the lenth of the wires. like the headlights plugs not reaching or battery wire.

so has anyone done this? i think it would be easier, but i just don't know what i may end up getting into.

your posts are appriciated.

thanks

Seriously, it would be easier to modify the DX harness. you would have to change the harness inside the car, if you used the Si wiring. Using the DX harness isn't hard, really. just read a couple of the websites that explain the swap and you should be good if you take your time.

I build DPFI-MPFI harnesses all the time. Much easier than replacing a whole car harness.

see i thought i would have to just change out the engine compartment section of wiring... if i have to take out the WHOLE car harness then its not even worth my time. I guess i just have to make a dpfi to mpfi.

any recommended sites to see for the switch? i have never done anything like this before so i could use all the help i could get. guess its time to start the search.

to DX to ZC wiring conversion
its not even worthed taking all out of the Si into the car.....

it sbetter to swap 7 wires over a whole harness....
