MPFI and d15b2 head swap onto a d15b1?
I have a low mileage well maintained d15b1 in my 91 std and am wondering if I can swap MPFI and either a d15b2 or d16a6 head/intake onto my motor to get it up into same power ballpark as a stock Si? I used to have a 91 CRX Si and that thing was a rocket compared to my newly acquired std. hatch.
Thanks,
Rich

First, do a search.
Second, if you swap the whole d16a6 head, it will actually be a little faster than an Si because of the slightly higher compression and the Si Cam (or so I've heard).

Same compression, a little bit better cam in the Sis than the Base model/DX's you will make less power than an Si with that setup but not far from it.
A DX head and the Si head have the same combustion chamber volume because they are the same casting. So installing a complete Si head on a D15B1 block will net him no change in CR. Other than needing a newer head due to valve guide wear, bad headgasket etc. then you will be wasting time swapping a complete Si head instead of just changing the cams.
