Default Before the Ef swap

With a Dx , what front end parts need to be replaced for you typical b-series swap? Does it depend on the intmed. shaft? Will the heavier b18c cause clearance issues in the way of header to front crossmember, header to ground clearance, valve cover to hood, and what can be done as forsight to remedy these issues? I have heard that the Place Racing mounts are better for swaps wanting a SC in that the engine is mounted farther away front the firewall. Hasport mounts are better for turbo? What about other companies like AVID, Arizona Race&Machine, and HCP? TIA

No front end parts are needed on a DX, I have an 88 DX and I did not have to replace anything. As far as a header, if you go with the billet hasport kit, clearance should not be an issue, as well as the Arizona R&M mounts, same thing as Hasport. If you go with Place Racing or something similar then clearance is an issue on a 4-1 header, you need to replace your cross member to an aftermarket one.

I was leaning toward Place Racing because I planned to go SC after the swap. HCP mount were available on here for an excellent price, would I be able to use those instead? and...

what about clearance issues for the hood? would a Jdm Sir hood work better?

I have Place Racing mounts and my hood closes fine! If you go with Place Racing, yes it does position the engine toward the front more allowing more room for a SC. Plus they offer lifetime warranty on their mounts and cross-member.
