Default Eibach sportline springs

Im thinking about lowering my car useing Eibach Sportline Springs, but I was wondering if I needed new shocks or anything else to make the springs work at there full potential.

I have a 00' Accord 2Dr Coupe

Shocks would be a good addition to your suspension setup. The stock shocks should be ok, but they wont give you the stiffness you need in turning. If you want to go with performance, get aftermarket shocks. Although it might not give you the soft ride of stock shocks... It will give you the stiffness you need.

i agree, on my first accord, when i was building it, i bought a set of springs for it and had them installed with the stock shock setup, i had aftermarket wheels with a thin-*** 35 rated tire, i didnt know how bad it was until i got some adjustables later on which made the ride seem like heaven once switched in (adding springs to the stock suspension also decreases the amount of time the stock shocks will last), if you want to get good suspension, there is a company out there called B&G, i have a coilover set of theirs on my first accord (h22), the ride compared to turning ability/handling is amazing, literally amazing, on my other accord (f22) i have koni's with a set of skunk 2 coilovers i think, thats a totally shyty suspension setup, very ghetto...the ride sucks, but for now it works, you have to figure out what kind of budget your working with first and foremost, then from there you can weigh quality to money options...there are a lot of things you have to consider when considering lowering your car...good luck, oh, i have eibach springs in my toyota, and they are good decent springs...see what people say about those...!

KYB AGX shocks aren't made for the 6th Gen. The two sets of shocks that I would recommend are Koni Yellows, and Tokico Illuminas. Yellows have 5 perches, while the Illuminas only have 3. And the Illuminas are a little less expensive.

Yes, they are the exact same thing, they take strips of metal, shot peen it, then they are wound into coils, and then weight tested, then when you read things like ISO 9001, German TUV and things like that, those are certifications that the manufacturing plants are given, for standards of quality, and for standards of vehicle application quality, so yea, they are the same thing, sportline series and pro-kit from Eibach are lowering springs and nothing else...

now if you wanted a set of coil-overs with Eibach springs in them, you would have to buy Ground Control (i heard they arent much to brag about anyway), i think thats what they're called...

when buying shocks, i would go with the Koni yellow first and foremost then maybe the illumina's 2nd, a little more money but a better, happier and longer lasting investment, plus 5 perches are a plus!

On the Eibach site, it says the sportline series springs dont do any harm to the stock suspension and dont void the warranty either, the springs are made to the stock specs, or so they say

Anyway, make sure you create a budget first so there is no dissapointment later! dont forget to add installation to every price you consider!

let me tell you, on my toyota, man, i still have the stock suspension after having the springs on that bitch for like 7 years now, lol, and with 18 inch wheels, thin *** tire, forget it, the ride isnt forgiving in the least, i think its smarter just to pay labor once to do shocks and springs firstly, secondly save money down the line and do the job now...know what i mean? i stress the whole budget thing though, if it isnt in the budget dont F with it, just remember, that pro-kits arent recommended on stock suspension, sport-line are fine! make sure you get a camber kit!

I'd save up the extra money and get a set of shocks I'm riding on Neuspeed springs w/stock shocks on my Civic and it's a bit harsh but I got the same springs on my Accord with Tokico blues and it rides so much better

I'd save up for some Tein's best suspension out there. If you decided to go with the sportlines which are also good springs. Go with Koni Yellows. Nice ride

if you're going sportlines you have to go with an aftermarket strut...Tokico or Koni are both great. Tokico 'blues' are great for ride quality with a lot more control on the twisties...and they're cheap. The Eibach Pro-Kits are the ones desinged for factory strut specs.

you said your friend has dropzones with koni yellows and it rides good? i was wondering if he has the coilovers or reg springs? i have dropzone coilovers with a stock strut and it rides like a truck going through a corn field, i want to re due it but if that struts make that big of diff maybe I wiill just go with struts.

someppl got the "blues" say alot of good things, but there's some fucked up blue shock after couple month of driving, espercially for heavier accord

I used the neuspeed sport and tokico blues with a camber kit and they were good. But i recently switched out that supspension setup for the TEIN and let me tell you it's like night and day. The TEIN are alot better than a conventional spring strut/shock setup. Plus the TEIN are 16 way adjustable which makes a big diff cuz i live in NY and the potholes suck... I'd save up for complete coilovers.

full coilovers are OVERkill for any daily driver. most people that i know that run teins or h&r full body coilover either auto-x often or are made of money. dropping $1000 on springs and shocks is alot of money to the average guy. even with full coilovers, your ride will never compare to stock.

my friend has had sportlines with stock shocks on his 01 accord since new, and now has almost 30kmi on it. the ride is smooth, but is a bit under dampened. the only time u can really tell is at high speed over large bumps on the highway. even then, its really not that bad.

i would not reccomend tockico blues (hp). i had them with sportlines on my 5th gen accord. they blew out kinda fast.
