abs problems on my 96 Accord EX
I've got a 96 Accord EX, and initially I thought I might just be a sensor that was busted since I couldn't hear anything and all the fluid was intact.
But yesterday, this obnoxious noise comes out of the front driver's side of the engine when I start the car, but stops when the abs light comes on.
What's wrong with my abs system?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So does this mean that my accumulator's busted?
Also, do you know where a guy could find a chart showing what the dif. abs codes mean/diagnose (other than in the owner's manual)?

Well you have a leak in your accumulator or the ABS module, I had the same problem your accumulator is trying to keep the system pressurized and that is the sound you are hearing. It is normal to hear it like once a day when you let the car sit over night, but it should not being doing this all the time while you are driving. That was the case with mine and it ended up burning out the accumulator motor, so I went to the local Junk yard and got the whole ABS Module for $150.00, and put that in and flushed the hole brake system and then bleed the brake system and ABS system, which is kind of a chore. Then I never had another brake problem again. Well good luck with the problem. Later, Jordan.
That sound is completely normal.
If the ABS light stays on while you're driving, first check your parking brake. If you drive around with the parking brake up, ABS is disabled and the ABS light will turn on. On the parking brake is a little button that gets pressed when the lever goes down. You can see it if you take out your cup holders. If the bracket the button is on gets bent or comes loose, it will read that the parking brake is up when it's not and turn on your ABS light.
If that doesn't work, check the ABS sensors or get the code.
