I got rear ended last night in my 5th gen hatch, and its pretty mangled, so im no thinking about getting a 1988-89 crx HF to drop my swap in. My tranny is a jdm tranny with lsd so i wanna keep my tranny, but its hydro and i know that the crx' scome with cable trannies. I know that you can out cable trannies in hydro equiped cars with a adaptor kit, but can you put a hydro tranny in a non hydro equiped car? Thanx...

 

yes, someone made a conversion for it, and hasport is supposed to come out with it SOMEtime in the near future.

 

Sorry to hear about that.... HASport's been working on the kit for a LONG time now. It was in July's issue of Honda Tuning. I think they may get around to it soon... do a search, email them. Check it out. Good luck with that man.

 

How hard would it be to just build one yourself? Mount the master cylinder on the firewall, run some custom steel braided lines to the slave and you're set.

 

wouldn't he need the hydro pedal assembly, too? i would think the pedal assembly connection points (one would be for cable and the other made for hydro) would be different...

jon from the dropshop made a conversion bracket. i know he isn't selling it yet, but you might be able to convince him to make one for you....or try to buy the one he made.
