Default header tech ground clearance

ive been reading alot about header tech header and im starting to save up for one. the main concern i have is the ground clearance. anyone running one on a street car? my car is lowered with h&r sport [lowers 1.75" front 1.5" rear] and would like to know if at this stance will the header survive or get a beating. the car would also be used in hpde and autox events.

last few questions: should i save up for a stainless steel one or a mild steel one?
2.5" or 3" piping diameter?

nothing crazy at all. so far i have ctr intake and exhaust cams (i went straight to internals first) and im planning on replacing them with skunk2 stage 1, add jdm itr pistons, skunk2 intake manifold and some adjustable cam gears. i cant do anything crazy since this is my daily driver and i do all work on my car myself in the garage.

btw vtecvoodoo did you get my pm?

Just so you know...HeaderTech takes for ******* ever if you order the Mild Steel coated. They make the header (2-3 week process) then they send it off to some coating place (1.5 months and counting....). I am not bashing them, just letting you know they like to take their time. If you haven't realized by now, I have ordered one and I am waiting and waiting and waiting.... Everytime I call I get a new "projected completion" date, but never see any results. Oh well, I guess I will still wait...

Ok so you say they take forever but then you say the coating place has had it for 1.5 months??? So it's not actually headertech but the coaters. It still sucks that you have had to wait though. I work at a coatings facility and sometimes things can get backed up, but never 1.5 months

That's why i clearly said I wasn't bashing HeaderTech. They, personally, aren't the ones taking the time, but it is a product ordered through them, so regardless of who is working on the header at the moment I am the one still waiting to recieve a product from HeaderTech. I know it's not their fault, but it is the header they are providing so it falls back on them. Anyways, I am not trying to sway anyone away from headertech, just saying it might be more beneficial to save some more money and buy the stainless version instead of the mild steel coated.

I find it sits lower than my JDM DC 4-1 did. Not to mention problems with it but I haven't yet spoken to enzo about it.

The AN-R headers have better ground clarance than Header-Tech. But you can't run A/C. Take a look at DTR. Their headers offer better ground claranace than Header-Tech, allow the use of A/C, and claim 10-13WHP increase over the JDM ITR 4-1. This just might be the best header for B-series swaps in 1988-1991 Civics and CRXs.
