I came to work today and found this
I came to work (Acura) today and there was a rsx in front of my stall. I try to start it to move it in to my stall and it sounds like the motor has seized. I have a bad feeling because a rsx came in last week with a valve float and burnt piston. So I get one of my co workers to help push it in and there is oil all over the back of the car, bad sign right? I lift up the car and what do I see. If you cant tell from the pictures they threw a rod through the block and you can see the valves from the bottom of the block. Sorry for the shitty quality. I took the pics with my phone

i've been hearing so many problems from the rsx, well not problems but they don't take well on beating. I guess they don't built them like how they use too...

well let me see you car shift from 3rd in redline to 2nd, or 5th to 4th while its redlining, and see how well your car takes that beating.

well, on behalf of other RSX owners/drivers. Ill say that i have no problem driving my rsx-s hard or soft, regular driving of banging through the gears, Ive had my fair share of hondas and acuras including a GSR (my bros) and his Hybrid Civic hatch along with my old EF and my Turbo EG and none of them felt any different . all of then had the same quality honda tranny and gear box.
Anyone can misshift a car, whether or not they dump their clutch because they are getting sloppy and not paying attention
to what they are doing is another thing. Personally i dont drive so careless that i wouldnt realize what gear i just grinded into. But thats just me.
I hope other RSX-s owners (the few on this board) will agree.

I agree. I also have a rsx-s and have no trouble driving it hard. I find it ridiculous that so many people are misshifting. I feel that the shifter on the rsx is way too similar to my departed gsr. I think that the majority of the people misshifting are those that have never owned a performance honda or acura before or are those that have just begun to drive stick. Either that or they're showing off wayyyy too much. I find it completely impossible for me to misshift in my car.

True that man. But I have heard alot of stories about the tranny not locking out under normal driving conditions where insted of 6th you hit 4th.

Most likely another mis-shift... right?
Ussually from 5th back into 4th, for some reason that tranny has a tendency to do that.
The problem is, if it's under warranty, the only person loosing money is Acura, it's a stupid problem and it needs to be fixed.

I will say this, if you are in 5th gear and you do a lazy shift aka. let it slip in neutral and then push down, it will go into 4th, to shift to sixth you need to do just that! Move the shifter diagonal right/down and it goes in sixth no prob
I guess ive just never been in the situation where i was redlining in fifth gear racing someone and i needed to shift as fast as i could to sixth..............seems kinda uhhh fast to me. Maybe Brian Spilner or Tyrese could help up answer that lol
