what is that on the b16 intake manifold?

that part that is directly under the "I" in PGM-FI

the lower portion of that metal thing that is on my b16 is loose and can be pulled out very easy, what is that and what kind of problems would I have since is it loose? Anyone have part number or diagram so I can order it up from the dealer?

thats the pcv valve, when u put the intake mani back on there a hose that goes from the back of the block to the pcv from underneath the manifold. that will hold it in place, also there should be something a ring or something on the pcv valve to hold it in place. but its something that should stay connected, it can be loose as long as the lower hose is still attach adn everything is attached
