Is there a difference in these 2 compression ratios in ring size on standard bore???
reason im asking is because i need to order rings and im not sure if my pistons are shelf 9 to 1's or if they are custom 8.5:1's so if there is not a difference in the rings i guess it does not matter so i just need to know, thanks

you're compression doesn't affect which rings you get, just make sure the rings are for the same bore size as your pistons.
