I think it's smarter never to deal with anyone that does business out of a free e-mail account such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Juno, and others. Anyone can sign up with those mail services anonymously. It sucks that PayPal's rules seem to protect sellers more than buyers.

Theres plenty of us on the bay area that will back you up on this. I can't believe it happened in our own backyard. Try to get as much info as you can about him. Print out emails. Your best bet would be to file mail fraud through USPS and call the local Fremont police dept and tell them what happened.
