Default what's a good tire size for 18's?

I just bought me some new wheels, 18x7.5 and i need to know a good tire size to go by so that i can keep my mileage and speed the same. right now i have factory 205/40 tires on 16 inch rims, so any suggestions on what to put on 18's to keep everything the same?

I just noticed i put in the wrong size it has 205/50 not 40. It is still 16"wheels. 215/35 should still work though right?

Yeah that's what I have. 225/35 fits good. Although there isn't a wide range of selection for tires in that size. What offset did you get on the rims???

I'm also running 225/35. If you have a 42+ offset that is your best choice for a 4gen. 215/35 is an insanely small sidewall. I went with Falken FK451s.

the back tires rub a little with 215's. there is a piece of plastic that sticks out behind the back rear wheel fenders that has to be shaved off. otherwise 215's fit perfectly

That is too big. It's almost 1" bigger than the stock 205/50/16. The OD of 225/35/18 is closer to stock than 215/35/18. 225/35/18 Falken FK-451 was what I had when I had the 18" wheels.

Oh, I'm not saying that it won't work. I'm just saying that it's too big. I know 225/40/18 would work 'cuz that was what I had on my first set of 18" tires. But then I went with 225/35/18 on my 2nd set of 18" tires.

I was gonna go with the 35s but i figured it made it easier to bend the rims,
Ive bent one anyway with the 40s. They rubbed at first but I just shaved some of the wheel well with a dremel. Im sure my speaker box is whats weighing it down, that and a full tank of gas.

damn a tsx, nice.
