Ok, one of my best friends just bought a Prelude today.

He was looking for over a year and finally found one he could afford. The bad news about it is he got a 92-93 Prelude non vtec SOHC. He's always wanted a VTEC and something with some power. He couldn't pass up the deal so he had to settle with this. It has 110k original miles and runs like its brand new. It was babied by the previous owner.

I would like to give him some suggestions on what to do with the car so I figured the best place to find them was here.

What do you guys think he should do with the car. Remember his goal is to have decent power. All motor too, no turbo (out of his price range for now).

I was thinking maybe an H22a swap down the line here. Or should he mod his current engine. Anything you can provide me with will help. Thanks guys. Also, anyone ran one of these in stock form in the 1/4. I know there all different but an estimated time.

 

I think his best bet is to save money for an H22A. If he wants something quick, and not to knock the SOHC owners, he should not waste money on aftermarket parts for the SOHC. If he was going turbo then it would be a different story.
