I went from Evans, GA toward Memphis and when I stopped to fill up, I had gottan 31.78 MPG with Amomo Premium. I had the cruise at 75 for the majority of the way.

I get 22 mpg with a 90 ex auto, driving like a bat outta hell.

4 door, auto, 300 extra lbs for sound system, plus driver at 180 with a foot that weighs half that

I've gone 380 on a tank before, then it sputtered and i was stranded on the side of the freeway. the gas light wasnt working. and I also have a large dent on the bottom of my gas tank too. It took ~14 gallons from empty.

When my car was an auto I averaged 28.8 mpg. The last 3 years it has been a 5-Speed and I am averaging 31.1mpg with a best of 37.5 on a freeway trip.

I don't know what is wrong with your cars but I usually go about 450 miles on a tank. This last tank has been a good one... gas light just came on and it is at 515 miles

My 90 Accord EX w/ Auto consistently gets 300-325 miles/tank w/ usually 11.5-12.5 gallon fillup. This is city driving at 30-55 mph mainly. I'm pretty sure I get about 30 mpg at 55-65 mph on rare extended trips.

Looks like a manual makes a lot of difference.

regards

low 30s on the highway (like enough to make a 277 trip twice is all I can really think of), and umm...around town and just normal driving, around 310-320mpg...

Accord LX 92 coupe auto
...and running disguistingly rich right now.

is there a reason why dx gets better mileage... does 0.2 liter on the engine make the difference?

i got 370 miles out of my last two tanks of gas in my 97 lx 5sp. and that is driving in traffic, having a lead foot, and running it into reserves.

i think it's all in the gearing...mostly on the driver too though...heavy footed or whatnot.

.2 litres? all accord engines are the same. you either got ur f23s or ur f22s depending on the year of ur car. and dxs are prolly jus a whole hell of a lot lighter than the others. mine is only 2733, as apposed to the ex being something around 3000
