Nice video, but being also a LS1 enthusiast I doubt that car has a 200 shot on stock bottom end, and if it does, it won't last long, especially with heads/cam package.

My LS1 dyno'd 448rwhp/435 rwtq N/A with a heads/cam package. TNT 100 show wet would have been pushing the bottom end too far, IMO.

But nonetheless, good video and race.

what head/ cam package you running... slp, etc? sounds very fun.

I agree on the nitrous, 200 is alot for a non worked ls1... but if it is stock he will be rebuilding before too long. (also who knows what his bottle pressure and jetting did at that time... might not been 200.)

omg that was the sickest video ever. I just got thrown back in my computer chair! to both you guys. very nice work on two very nice fast cars. may i offer some constructive criticism though? that 1,2,3 yelling **** has gotta go. lol. have u guys heard of the texas 3 honk?

oh. and to the guy above who said 200shot is too much on a stock block. that it may be true but i failed to read the part where enthalpy said it was a stock block. He said the guy won't share all the exact details, so im gonna assume hes got at least forged pistons and rods in there.

haha, the trademarked texas 3 honk. I loved racing from a dead dig in my old car, but none of the guys in supras or any turbo imports or bikes would race me because nobody knew how to drive. They all wanted to go from a roll, which sucked because I only had the gearing to do around 150 (28" tire + 3.90 gear + 7K red limit with a C6) and all the bikes and supras wanted to go to like 170

Enough of my ranting, that was a sweet vid

well, if it started as a texas thing, its definitly not just now. florida is pretty big on the roll on's and so is chicago. i think it got popular in cities mostly dominated by fast supras. cause they are high hp cars and most can't get traction from a stop. plus the faster you go the more the 6spd cars have an advantage. thats basically how it caught on here.

Hey guy's just saw this link and wanted to post up a little.

Scott's car is mean as hell, and it was a great roll race, no doubt. Neither one of us set it up, just agreed with another buddy as to when and where to go on. I think Scott is a lot like me, very confident in his set up, and would have gone from either a dead dig or a roll, doesn't matter. I am set up to run either way.

Some of the detail's on my car:

It IS (for now) a stock bottom end LS1, that makes around 400 rwhp NA, with several bolt on's, and a basic heads/cam set up. The N20 is a 2 stage, dry and wet kit. The bottom end saver is, the dry shot is on at lower rpm (around 3400, depending on the conditions) and the wet -which is the bigger shot o the two--comes in at a higher rpm. This avoids the massive torque spike associated with a large shot of the giggly. The final saving grace is the tune. Jeremy Fomato has timing being pulled by the pcm when it reads n20 flow....so far so good.
The gears were incorrectly reported at being 4:11's, they are 373's.

If I COULD EVER get back into Secret Services I could report actual hp #'s with the current set up, but alas, no such luck there. Last dyno was 562 rwhp, 597 rwtq.

Props to Scott, that is was one hell of a run. I am not used to seeing a car next to me, but rather watching headlights getting dimmer and dimmer....

Have you ever ran your SS at the track? I'm curious what times it pulls?

hey dan...thanks for posting!!

i was unsure about the gears. the 3.73 makes a bit more sense since you and i were gear for gear at the same speeds and you have a bit less RPM!!

you can definitely hear the 2nd stage come on right after the initial hit...!!

JuicedSS262,

Congrats on a nice setup, looks like $ was spent in the right places ALso for that kind of power what setup do you have for the rear end. Im going to assume it's not stock

and the 180sx well the dyno speaks for itself

Not a lot, only 2 or 3 times this year. I have broken many clutchs, which is a reason there is still a stock rear end to speak of.
The Girdle basically hold things in place (it's a glorified cover) and does not let them move under heavy load, which is a cause for breakage. One twisted axle is my only casualty thus far.
