Default noobie needing turbo help

Im looking to turbo my 1992 GSR that has 110 000 KM. It's completely stock except for an intake and suspension. What im wondering is what do i need to do to the engine to support a turbo. Im thinking of boosting around 6-10 PSI. Will a 2.25" exhaust be to small?

thanks for the help

IMO, yes... 2.25" is too small.

Go with at least a 2.5" exhaust, though I like to see 3" exhausts on turbo cars, and make sure you have enough fuel, and some kind of management for it.

another option for you is to get an e-cutout, so you can keep your existing exhaust and have free flow when you want it. Do a search for e-cutout.

at least 2.5 inch I would say also... if you can fit 3inch thats better yet.

e-cutout seems to be a good solution.

where would the best place be to start with this turbo project? I want to make sure that the engine doesn't blow since this is my daily driver. Ive also heard that 3" would not be needed, I really don't want a loud car. My buddy already sets off car alarms when he drops me off in his car and i hate it.
