i did the worksheet on rc website,it says for 450hp ill need 1200cc,is this true??seems like a lot.

 

Im going with 1000cc.. im shooting for 500whp..

 

most I have seen around 450+ were at least 1000cc injectors... everyone seems to go the route of more injector than ness. to be safe and keep the injectors from being maxed out all the time here.

i heard hondata has a hard time idling anythong too clozse to 1000cc, is this true? also , does aem and other support the bigger onces easier?
you can go higher with the fuel pressure to get more power from them and lower the duty cycle

i was planning on purchasing something around 880cc., hopefully it will do the trick.

 

what brand? im looking for some and was hoping to get hi impedence so i wouldnt have to deal with the resistor box let me know your setup if u dont care so i kinda kinda tune mine towards what u have, thanks man

I'm running 780cc and they are maxed out at 530whp. I would suggest going with 880's. I would if I was going to do it again.

720cc here...

 

720 cc for 450 might possibly be little to small or just perfect (closer to too small). To give you an idea 550 were maxed out for me at 360 whp. I ended up throwing in some 900cc that were laying around but a bit too big at my 360 hp. So idle is a bitch, fumes like crazy. Oh and I use 1600cc on my 535whp race car. I would go with 900 or 1000 for your car, you dont want to run those injectors above 80%.

who makes a good 880cc injector for a good price. I found the seimen deika's from camp1320 for $265. Are you guys having any problems with hondata and 800+ cc injectors

what type of injectors are you running ?

same here.. i was thinkin 680's or something? how did the 550's do for you brian?

 

I used to run 950cc's in my old set-up, Hondata idled them like stock. You need around 900cc injectors with stock fuel pressure to be able to flow enough for 500whp.

 

so hondata will idle 960's or so ? i am looking at getting precision 960's for my new set up

 

The 550's did ok, but i tapped them out at 345 whp, and i was at 60psi of fuel pressure to run these.

I have precision 880's now and i love them.

hum... I know theory wise yes, 720cc is alittle small but it supported 500HP on my car with just a tad over 80% on duty cycle ( 82%) at very high load and rpm cells. My fuel pressure is set at 55psi idle.

 

720 will be too small for your 450 hp, you need at least 900 for that. To give you another example I maxed out my 1000s at 535 whp. The hondata should idle all of them but if you dont mind a little black smoke at idle well... You cant have the best of all worlds. Race car and emmisions free.

how does the hondata idle the 880s? in my earlier reply i meant i too am looking for 400whp in the sohc... well 350-400whp.... i was thinking 680's or around there... think those will suffice?

 

720's too small for 450 whp?

50 psi base pressure with 1:1 RR FPR should be plenty of fuel for 450 hp! as long as you are not trying to run 10:1 AFR's and a 10k RPM limit.

 

I was just giving you an example. You may max out your 1000cc at 535Hp but I am just at the tip of maxing my 720cc with 505HP. Different setup, different result.

 

I have a total of 960cc/min per cylinder. (8 injector 310/650 setup.)
