ok, some of you may know about my 100 buck 91' std hb I just picked up. I have a brand new stock clutch kit for a 91' 1.5L, had this for awhile. question is I am putting in the 89' CRX HF motor and tranny (5spd!) into my car (for those that don't know, it is a beater!), will that clutch work with that motor and trans? could I swap flywheels off the old motor if they are different sizes? anybody know?

Yes it will work, as for the flywheels which one do you want to take and where do you want to put it?? You want to take it off of your STD. and put it onto the 5spd HF tranny?

 

I was curious if the clutch and pressure plate from the hf and dx where of different diameters or heights, that is what I was worried about, bolt patter, etc/;

also which flywheel would be the best to use, weight, etc.

 

No they are the same the only time they are different is with the 88's.

*EDIT* As for the flywheels again they are all going to be the same unless you go with an aftermarket one and again the 88's are different as well.
